Well this week at work was stress. Imagine sitting through 6-7 hours of dreamy music and dialogue not in English? Yes! That was my week. Freezing to death in the meatlocker that can be Control Room D and my brain shrivelling up from lack of meaningful input.

In other news I am making good progress on a sweater I am knitting, with yarn possibly purchased maybe 5 years ago. O.o Yes, the back catalogue of unfinished projects. The yarn is beige and grey, wool and cotton blended together. I bought the yarn cause it was pretty, but once I got it home I couldn't think of anything to knit that wasn't going to look extremely gay. Good thing I didn't crochet it into an afghan like I was going to, would have been a waste. I eventually decided to make it into a hoodie zipper sweater that will be just peachy for 7-hour shifts in air conditioned rooms. The zipper hooded cardie concept has saved the sweater from oblivion I believe. The zippered sweater/fleece top is essential at work, because some rooms are colder than others. So much easier than pullovers.

I am going to see my friend John today! Yay! He went to high school with me, and during the years after university, we spent many a happy evening in a pool hall, or at various divey bars in Toronto, checking out unheard-of bands. He married and lives in New York state, so we don't see much of him, but we are going to Oakville tonight because he is in town yay!

My face, mostly around my nose, is red and itchy. What is it? Good question. Here are the possibilities: allergies, rosacea, eczema. Allergies? very likely if you ask me, had them all my life; Claritin does almost nothing, time for allergy shots. Rosacea? Well my cheeks are red, but rosacea prescription stuff only partly works for the area around my nose. Eczema? Coal tar soap doesn't work for long. I have some Aveno calamine cream but it don't help my oily skin too much. I was trying to scientifically determine which of the three worked the best, or had any effect at all, and I'm still kind of baffled. hmph! Time to see a dermatologist. I spent a lot of this week trying not to touch my itchy face. Fun fun fun.
