I was at a wedding last night. A co-worker of mine and I were dancing, she was showing me some moves. She is Philippino, I am Irish/Newfie. This fellow about our age commented to me that us dancing was like "an Asian porn star showing a prim librarian some moves." YEAH. THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE SEEING HAPPEN. Maybe he needs to watch something that is NOT porn.

OMG this guy was unbelievable. Someone had me he was the "porn king" of his circle of friends; apparently his knowledge of porn permits him to recommend different movies based on the person's tastes. However it wouldn't have mattered what preconceived notions I had; he proceeded to fawn over many women that night, though he had brought a date. I saw a girl's mouth move "stop it" and he continued pulling at her hair and stroking her arms. I'm not sure how people didn't punch him in the head.

I'd heard of a different "porn king" from another acquaintance of mine, but this other guy ran a porn website.

Yep, my mom is from Newfoundland. Newfoundlander is a good safe term to use. Newfie is more informal; it can be used both derogatively and with affection.

His behaviour was out of line. He must get just enough laughs to be encouraged by it; clearly the dude sails through life without any kind of clear mission statement on how he treats people. Or he was kind of hammered; I don't know the guy, maybe he was.

Drunk or not he's obviously not been taught the proper deportment in a wedding situation and among strangers. I've never understood how idiots like that get by in life without recourse of some sort!
