I cut my hair... I cut it myself, I'm cheap and a bit of a control freak...

anyhow I cut about 2" off it so it's a bit longer than shoulder length. Thing is, I parted it off to the side just for a change, and heh it shows more of my grey hair now. LOL.

I also went for a yearly physical, which has gained a new meaning for me: time for the blood test for cholesterol & diabetes (now that I'm over 35)

holy crap I AM gettnig old.

Eh you're not old. You're experienced.
Keep your mind busy, your heart young and your body fit. Those are the important things.

I'm 37 and I just noticed a couple of silver (screw grey they're silver dammit) hairs on my temple area. It's going to give me that awesome mad scientist look.
:D

Ha ha my friends cut their hair and well I think so often you do a much better job than some stranger who doesn't know you or have any conception of what you want...

Oh and you're not really getting old unless you acknowledge it - well this is what I like to tell myself...eeep I hate being so much older than all my friends.

see no one thinks I'm old, so I feel like I'm living a double life. People who don't know me, who are my age or older, when they talk about age-specific life experiences, kind of gloss over me and sometimes I wave my hand like an overeager student "look at me I'm old too oh oh oh!! pick me!!!"

but yeah it is a shock to have to have a cholestrol test just like Mum & Dad. I have grown up in a 70s style cholesterol conscious household, so I doubt I have high levels due to diet.

Yay for DIY hair cutting! I still have the intention of doing that, but always end up going to an easy (but paid) hair salon.

The only small consolation for realizing your age, is that you are always a year younger than you will be a year from now... ;-)

I think it's easier for me to cut mine cause it's long... if I were a male, ie needed to have it shorter, I'd leave it to the experts.

However some guys at work shave their heads or cut it really close with the shaver, I guess it's the male version of DIY haircuts

my grandmother always said "you're only as old as the men you date!" and from what I recall your BF is a few years younger than you isn't he? ;-)

why yes ;) the folks I meet at his parties all think I'm younger too.

Too bad I can't make money off it, by being in a circus sideshow or selling my secret (genetics, kinda hard)

I tried to cut Derek's hair once. I warned him that I wasn't too sure about it and he said that if it didn't work, he planned to get a buzz cut anyway. I couldn't keep the sides even with one another and he ended up with a buzz cut. LOL
