So I am having an entertaining weekend so far.
Saturday I worked. Like the rest of the week, work has been uneventful. This is a good thing.
After work on Saturday, I went to my sister's place. My brother is back from afar and brought his girlfriend so my sister invited many people over. I had bought wine for this purpose earlier this week, and forgot it at home Saturday morning. I hopped into an LCBO nearby my sister's, and got a German Riesling and a parking ticket. So I'm glad my sister (and I) liked the wine because it was kind of expensive all told. ha ha.
Then at the family gathering, I got into a discussion with a relative, this involved condo-buying advice, and advice on introduction services. It was quite unpleasant, especially considering that I would rather instead have talked to my brother, whom I hadn't seen face to face in about 2 years. Later I had an opportunity to talk with him when it was just us 4 kids left (plus my brother's girlfriend, my sister's boyfriend, my other sister's husband). I mentioned my ordeal to my brother-in-law, and next time if he sees me getting cornered like that, he will assign me to wash some dishes. w00t
Luckily I haven't booked any time off work around Christmas, so perhaps I can selectively go to Christmas dinners with people who couldn't give a shit about condos or dating services.

How much are parking tickets over there?
LCBO, aaah, bliss... Riesling is nice and sweet, isn't it?
LOL... it's amazing how liberating washing dishes can be, when you want to avoid annoying company...! (although it's about the only time I enjoy doing the dishes)
