Good thing it didn't rain today. Water still leaks into my car, despite my dad's efforts at sealing the suspected leaky areas. My car was smelly, and when I went to clean it, I found... a puddle of water. Now it smells like Mr. Clean and dampness combined. hmmm.

I am feeling a bit better today, I was inspired by a statement by Kimora Lee Simmons, of Baby Phat, her description of who she had in mind when designing her perfume scent. "We micromanage everything with class, grace and elegance." What a wonderful way to describe what women do, esp. women with children. So I am going to try to have more class, grace and elegance, especially when the goons at work discuss going to strip clubs. LOLOL

I went shopping before work today, I always feel more efficient when I do that. I bought some little clothing things, and a Barenaked Ladies DVD for $12 at Zellers! Who'd a thunk it. I <3 BNL. I didn't find everything... for my curtains I had to go to 3 different Zellers to find four panels the same colour. (:o) This time around, I have already gone to 2 Zellers, one more to go. haha

Mmm... water in a car doesn't sound pleasant...

Hey, was there a big stock of BNL DVDs at Zeller's? Was it the one at Erin Mills? I wouldn't mind having one, too. Maybe I could ask my cousins to get and send me one.

I suppose "Who'd a thunk it?" is Torontonian (Mississaugan?) for "Who would have thought it?"

ha ha yes you're right on my "who'da thought it?"

Hmm! The BNL DVD was not the Jason Priestly one I suspected it was, but they interviewed them and it was a good little bit of info about them. I remember most of it as it happened... I forgot they are all about my age, and have the same music tastes. :) Watching it made me realize how much their music has affected my music, and my taste in music. They were first played on Canadian radio in 1992-1993-ish, and were totally different than any other music on the radio. Now my own music is acoustic like theirs. :D

I am not sure if they are at all the Zellers; I went to the one at Southdown Rd. & QEW - I think it's the Sheridan mall.

Yeah, I remember first getting a tape of $1,000,000 in 1992? Then in 1994, I got their first CD from my cousin, but they were exclusively Canadian back then. So I was so (pleasantly) surprised when some time in 1996-7-ish I suddenly heard them on Dutch radio!
"Hello Ciiittyyyy..."

yes, "the Yellow Tape", it got played on the radio I think before they had a CD out. It's probably a collectors item now. :) I downloaded MP3s of it, and I have always liked that version of If I Had A Million Dollars better than the corporate CD one. :D

Yeah, I vaguely remember that it was yellow. Although it might be suggestion ;-)
I noticed I remembered a difference between that tape and the CD, but now i don't remember anymore how the tape sounded.

If you're on a broadband connection, would you mind mailing that MP3 to me? (no idea where the tape went). Address is in my profile.
