Well, I had a productive Saturday, I cleaned the floor, which really needed it, living room, bedroom and kitchen. I debated putting my recycling & garbage bins in the cupboards, but the cupboards are pretty nasty so I will deal with having them on the floor still. Also if I don't have those doors secured the cat will nose her way in and sit there like it's something special to do. LOL
I got a WEE bit of guitar practice done. But way before that, I sent my first tracking email to the radio stations that I sent my CDs to. ha. Here's hoping they got them. I'm "supposed" to call or email them to see if they are playing the CD, how many times, etc. I am dying to hear what they thought, but patience, grasshopper! All right then ha ha.
I moved over some files and deleted some... I want to upload some stuff to my webpage but they STILL haven't fixed it yet. Sigh. I called Primus today and got another ETA on it... wednesday. hmm.
I went to the the mall with maybe a half hour of it being still open... I refused to have been in the apartment ALL day. It was somewhat worth it. I breezed through half the mall in 20 min... not bad! I was looking for some specific fashion things that I have seen people wear. I wear a lot of jeans and t shirts, and the odd time a casual dress shirt. I am looknig for, and did NOT find, a knee-length trenchcoat with darts; ie it goes in a bit at the waist. I will look in Sherway this week one day before work. I want a pair of polyester black pants... at least they look like polyester to me. After seeing all the Mom-style winter coats at Square One, I'm thinking that they either have to be at tonier Sherway, or I missed them altogether and they are all gone for the season already. I went to Shoppers Drug Mart for a bit after the mall closed and browsed and picked up stuff I needed (and bought it LOL). Shoppers Drug Mart is almost as good as a mall, it has so much stuff. Well not REALLY really, but better than going straight home to waste time on the internet.
And in other news, I made an XML feed for my lorrainequirke.com.... LOLOLOL! It has 4 entries. Hardly worth getting a newsreader program for. However it would be handy for when I update the site with new songs, if someone reads the RSS feed, they would know right away. Like a mailing list, but more convenient for me. I don't personally use a newsreader, I just have my friendslist. And a couple other sites that are non-RSS.
My friend called. It was good to hear from him. I complained to him about my brother in law's numbskull friend. He commented about a fellow friend of ours, whom I am avoiding, because this person leaves annoying messages on my phone without realizing they are being annoying. :P I can't take the drama this person likes to have, we keep telling this person that they date the wrong people, but the person never seems to listen. *sigh*

Esp. because I know all those malls and stores you're describing.
Did you ever post any pictures of your apartment and cupboards?
I'm not sure if you can see it, but I subscribed to your RSS feed! How do you make one, BTW? (link anywhere?)

Most normal people will use Blogger or some other thing to generate XML. All LJ accounts have RSS feeds as well, it's http://www.livejournal.com/users/username/data/feed.xml. So you could read LJ from an RSS newsreader. I think that for those feeds at feedburner.com, the people pay a fee to have the service... I just am too do-it-yourself to bother with that. Besides, you will only get an update from me every couple of months.
I have the basics down, but I think there are style sheets or something that I am missing, because I cannot put links into my XML entries, whereas when I put my LJ feed into the newsreader program, links come up just fine. ???
Ohh my kitchen cupboards below my sink are bad! The water was leaking around the taps, and soaked the wood countertop, and bits of it are falling down into the interior of the cupboard. I have had it fixed but I caulked it because the super only put grout on it, and there were still places for water to pool up and cause trouble. What I REALLY need is a new worktop/countertop. The present one is rotting away.
Also that cupboard was my staging area for my bug elimination program. I didn't want to put out any bug killer that would kill my cat too, so I put them all in the cupboard, and used yarn and a staple gun to keep the cupboards closed, so that the cat wouldn't get in and use it like a cat playhouse. The bug traps were filled with poisoned peanut butter, so once I broke the seal, you could smell the peanut butter and the bugs would come for it. You're supposed to put the 12 traps around the house, but I put them all in the cupboard and hoped it would take care of the problem. It did, as far as I know. So now I don't want to put anything in there at all, especially any pots or pans.
ha.. I forgot you know about Square One. Hmmm... it just looked like the coats there were very practical, whereas I think Sherway is a little tonier... what with having Holt Renfrew with its crazy things at crazy prices. Sherway is on my way to work; I like Square One. It's one of the things that people who are from Mississauga complain about, that I just think are pretty good. However I remember going to Square One when I was a kid... not literally but I remember people talking about it.
