I watch TV the odd time, but not often. I flicked it on, and there was a show on french CBC that I liked watching before, Tout le monde en parle. I don't know quite what the premise of the show is; they do political and entertainment interviews, and curiously there seems to be a celebrity panel of some kind. The host looks a bit like Quentin Tarantino, and has a weird voice, so what with that and the celebrity panel, I am fascinated by the show.
The woman they interviewed was someone who looked like Michaelle Jean. It wasn't her. But it was interesting, she was a former child soldier. She was speaking in subtitled English, apparently answering the host's french questions. I don't know if a) she understood French but did not speak it confidently, or if b) they asked in English and edited the show big-time afterwards. In any case, due to the English, I understood it. Now they're back to all French; I'll give it a shot but I'm not sure what I'll get out of it, but if they have cool new Francophone bands that will be ever so cool.
