I have officially had it with using a 33k modem to use the internet. Auuughhh!
I tried to buy a Mac Mini today but the guy in the store said better ones would be there at the end of the month. I asked him a bunch of questions and watched him zoning out off into outer space. Dude! I have never owned a computer with so much as a USB port, have some patience! I DID look at the website and would have assumed that one Firewire port would have been enough for a hard drive AND that midi interface I will have to get. You saved me a lot of trouble. LOL
All right, the floor is open:
Mac Minis typically have ONE firewire port. I need 2: 1) external hard drive 2) audio midi firewire interface. Is there a firewire hub, and can I use it with a fast external hard drive for recording audio? The other firewire device is an external thing for converting midi and audio into firewire info. I have a bigass used VGA monitor and I don't want to buy any of those fancy Mac monitors with the firewire hubs built in.
