So I go to montreal on saturday, to see the montreal jazz festival... w00t! I am excited.
I am packing & setting aside stuff already, so as to be left to wake up without a radio to listen to CBC Radio One on, and to not be caught out in the blazing sun without my ballcap with the Spalding logo embroidery picked out.
On that note, I am trying to figure out both the weather, and fashion. I am going to Montreal, and fashion is different there somewhat, I don't want to show up underdressed. Much of my 35 C summer gear is pretty informal, but work-friendly. Sleeveless blouses, shorts, sandals.
But I don't want to look too touristy. So I am going to pack a couple of black T-shirts & my newer jeans in case I do go to some evening movie or concert. Along with the mini-backpack, I am going to bring my purse, so I don't have to always look like I'm trekking across Europe.
I like this hostel. It is the only hostel I have seen where there is no TV and people chill out and drink wine in the common room. :P And across the road are 17th or 18th century buildings that have been converted into condos.
