Trip to Halifax

This was the sculpture installation at Pearson

Pearson International Airport, brand new Terminal 1

Mennonites don't allow their picture taken generally, so I snuck this one.

Disco ball lobster!

After 6-7 odd years, Einstein still hasn't caught the mouse cursor.

Jackie Chan loves water.

Ouch! The weather was a good 5-10 degrees colder than in Toronto.

Me on the ferry to Dartmouth

These shingled houses were all over Nova Scotia, this one was in Dartmouth

At Dalhousie U, old meets new.

Dal, pink, orange and blue stone.

Dal campus again, ironstone, apparently.

More ironstone, downtown Halifax

This Victorian building was beside St. Mary's Basilica.

Rocks strewn on the beach

Swissair crash memorial, near Peggy's Cove

I grew up in Mennonite country, near Guelph, I always wanted to have horses like they did.

I was quite impressed with the Dal campus. Beautiful old buildings. Downtown Hali's pretty nice too...

There were some pretty ugly moose sculptures" (http://images.google.ca/images?q=toronto%20moose&hl=en&lr=&sa=N&tab=wi) made for Toronto, with kind of gay decorating. I am assuming Halifax had the same idea with making fiberglas lobster sculptures. The funnest one was the disco ball lobster.
