I have a postal customer who just got back from Spiddal. He's from Ireland, I'm thinking he's from that area, he's the one who told me to go to Galway in the first place. He even brought me back a book/CD for learning Irish :)

I am learning it too, and like you, it's chipping away a little every day. It takes longer, but I'm in no hurry, and I don't have the energy for a total immersion program or anything. I have a few different books and CDs, and I watch TG4 hoping it will sink in by osmosis :)

The Arts Festival was very cool. I went to a play every night, and visited different galleries and exhibits during the day. There was music too, but nothing that interested me much. I volunteered for some of it too. There was a Dinosaur Petting Zoo event that was held on a few different days and I had a blast participating in that.

I think that's what I'm really looking forward to doing next year - Dinosaurs! But also I want to see more plays. I really wanted to see an Irish language play, but the one they had showing at the time was not my cup of tea. Hopefully next year it will be something more up my alley.
