Mar. 25th, 2007 02:24 pmwell I'm having a good weekend
When I was at my sister's, assisting with her inlaws' babysitting duties, it was a neat surprise to discover that my 5 month old nephew recognizes me. When I went into a room, he beamed at me, either I'm there frequently enough that I'm a familiar face, or that my face is familiar because I look like my sister, even down to the glasses.
I went to see my friend Liz last night, it was good - we ordered in Thai takeout, our other friend Lynda came in from Oakville, they called people before they went out - usual stuff, ie "can my roommate come? but she has to jump in the shower" and so they waited. They meaning that I didn't go out dancing afterward... I was tired. But it was nice to hang out ahead of time, and we got a small tour of the condo townhouse that their friend lived in... mightn't mind one of those myself, but the units are fit together like puzzle pieces, and apparently you can hear your neighbor's every move. Liz gave me some stuff she didn't want, eg. CDs that had been handed down from lots of her friends, I listened to some Chemical Brothers which was alright today, some of the CDs are more than 10 years old so I'm not sure how I'll like them all.
Today I'm going to try to clean up stuff, and stay off the internet so that can happen! LOL CrackBook takes up more of my attention than is optimal. Also I was more sociable this weekend (and last Fri.) so what with that, and spring coming, I'm going to try to spend less time in my apt. and more out gallivanting. :P
