Apparently I am on chef cluster 6. It is weird to read about lisa and cluster maintenance. It is weird to think of livejournal being a rack room full of servers humming away. Humming more when I click "update."

Re: Big Quiet Sunrise... thanks! I am hiding away, using the holidays as an excuse to brush up on my guitar skills, hopefully hatching a couple more new tunes to show in the new year. I am going to check out the Free Times open mic too, as you suggested. (I am going to try to learn a coupla Teitur covers.)
I am researching other open mics in other cities, ie around the wider limits of the GTA, and I'm debating applying for folk festivals; some of which have open mic evenings. As a Girl and the Machine member, all this kind of stuff was already taken care of, so it's all new to me, getting out & plugging my own music; Aaron gave me the ont_openmic idea with his wiki site; also I love livejournal. lol In any case, I am collecting all kinds of info, which I will post to ont_openmic. My plan is to gauge further reaction at open mics in other cities, (heh... if work sched allows) and see if I can release a CD; only if I can determine if what I'm doing kind of stands out a bit.
