God Searched For Us

the folks' house... before they move!

This is for [livejournal.com profile] noodlefan... boiled potatoes. These were mushy though, not boiled dry. :D That is my fave veggie burger underneath. And you can't beat frozen peas... they retain much more yumminess than canned.

LOL...
Thank you, thank you!
Did you make the veggie burger yourself?
I just had green peace peas myself this afternoon!
They came with a "Chicken a la King" with (quite well boiled) rice at the hospital cafetaria.

I love the first picture. Now that's what I call a church with a sense of humour.

I have to agree with you about frozen peas. I refuse to eat vegetables from a tin or jar. YUCK!

Canned corn is okay, but fresh is much better of course. Canned chickpeas... never had fresh

True, I agree about the corn. I've never had fresh chick peas either, to be honest. I'm certain they'd taste lovely *yum*

I haven't had frozen peas in ages! Gee you lived in a very nice house by the looks of it. No wonder you don't want your folks to sell it. I know I'll be sad when my folks eventually sell our house.

Frozen peas are part of my arsenal of easy-to-prepare foods, along with applesauce fruit cups etc.

Yes, my dad has done lots of work on the house over the years, Nfld. must be calling its siren call for them to want to go so intently.

yeah the landscaping alone that my dad has done will make it really hard for them to part with our house. same with the thousands of dollars he's dunk into renos and other things.

The tatoes and peas look yummy. I might try that sometime.

Microwaved boiled potatoes:
cut a potato into 8ths. Cover with water in microwaveable bowl - half full so it doesn't bubble. Nuke 3 min. Presto: boiled potatoes. :) Then you can mash them too if you like. Or cover w oil and rosemary. mmm
