So I'm recording my two songs that I have to do before I feel I can "release" my "album" (ie send off a bunch of burned CDs to community radio stations) and also this goofy John Mayer "put music to my lyrics and win a JM sig strat" contest song. Well they will post the contestant efforts on the Esquire site so free publicity. Do I want to win an electric guitar? Well I won't refuse it. Ha if I should even win. LOL It would be cool if I did though.
This morning I busted a string on my geetar. I peeked back in my old sets of strings and... I busted the same string in the old set too. I have a new set on hand but that must have been the shortest amount of time a set of strings lasted me. Am I now a real guitarist, now that I bust strings all over the place???
My sister is back from Germany, all overwhelmed I suppose by being back home, moving into a new place, going back to school etc. But I'm sure she's happy to be home. She brought her boyfriend, he is attending school here too. I'm sure he's excited too. Of course my aunt's "welcome home" little barbecue thingy is on a night that I work till 10.
I've started a sweater, knitting, it is beige texturey yarn. Yay! I am trying to burn rubber and get it done as soon as possible. I have some half-finished sweaters there for many years.
I saw The Dukes Of Hazzard not too long ago; it was actually not too bad. The "blow shit up" dude was funny in that he simply didn't wear pants unless absolutely necessary. ha ha ha. And Seann whatever his name is has a nice bod! They were the funny Dukes of Hazzard, compared to the original. And when they drove through downtown Atlanta with the Confedarate flag on the roof, they got the finger from people and so forth. ha ha
I am managing without regular CBC Radio One programming. They are in a labour dispute. The morning show is bleh. Whatever they play at 10:30pm when I get home, I like. It's new Canadian stuff, and one time I heard new New Order. Yay!
